Doctor Foster Award

Doctor Foster wins at South Bank Sky Arts Awards

Drama Republic is absolutely delighted that BBC One hit drama Doctor Foster has been honoured at this year’s South Bank Sky Arts Awards, winning the prize for Best TV Drama. Lead actress Suranne Jones was present to collect the award at a star-studded ceremony, held at London’s Savoy Hotel on Sunday 5th June 2016.

This the second year in a row Mike Bartlett has won a South Bank Award, following a win last year for his play King Charles III. It is also the second year in a row a Drama Republic production has taken home the prestigious TV award, following victory last year for Hugo Blick’s The Honourable Woman.

The South Bank Sky Arts Awards take place annually and are presented by Lord Melvyn Bragg. They are unique in being the only Awards ceremony in the world to represent the entire spectrum of the British Arts, with categories for TV Drama, Classical Music, Theatre, Comedy, Opera, Dance, Film, Visual Art, Pop, and Literature – celebrating the best of British culture and achievement.
